CR's Take

The Maytag MHW5630HW is a 4.5-cubic-foot front-load washing machine with a stainless steel tub. This model does a stellar job of cleaning laundry. It earns an adequate score for gentleness in our tests, causing some wear and tear to laundry during washing. It operates quietly, which most users will find acceptable for nearby living spaces. Vibration during operation is limited. Running the most aggressive normal cycle with a midsized load takes 100 minutes. This model uses very little water. It uses less electricity per load than many machines. This washing machine comes with a 1-year warranty.
