CR's Take

The Green is an innerspring mattress from Avocado. Their innerspring mattresses are rated very good for overall comfort in our owner surveys, though the experience can vary from person to person. We tested the queen-size, which measures about 11.6 inches thick. It has a medium feel, with a firmness of about 4.6 out of 10, where 1 is very soft and 10 is very firm. It has a layer of latex foam, an option some owners specifically seek out for a more responsive feel. It retains very little warmth, so cold sleepers may find it sleeps quite cool. Its durability is excellent: After simulating about eight years of use, we measured very little change in its height or firmness. It provides excellent support for back sleepers, keeping the spine well aligned, supporting smaller sleepers slightly better than larger sleepers. It provides very good support for side sleepers. If you share the bed with a restless partner, it isolates motion very well, so you are unlikely to feel much movement. This mattress ships compressed in a mattress-in-a-box format, which can simplify delivery but requires time to expand after unpacking.
