Best Version to Get

The base LE is the most fuel-efficient Camry trim, as rated by the EPA. It comes pretty well equipped, with dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, and push-button start. We’d suggest opting for the Convenience Package to get a power driver’s seat with adjustable lumbar support and a smart-key (keyless locking and unlocking). If it were us, we’d also add the Cold Weather Package for the heated front seats and heated, leather-trimmed steering wheel. If you’d like better cabin noise isolation, we’d steer you toward the third-tier XLE, which has acoustic-glass front side windows, and also brings a power-adjustable front passenger seat and opens up a path for added optional equipment such as a head-up display.

About Consumer Reports

Consumer Reports puts people first. For more than 80 years, CR has provided consumers with independent research, ratings and recommendations to help make good purchase decisions. As a nonprofit consumer testing and advocacy organization, CR works with businesses and government to improve the safety, performance, value and reliability of products and services.

Every year CR puts manufacturer claims to the test for thousands of products, from cars and appliances to baby products and sunscreens. CR purchases all the products that we test and uses scientific research methods to develop our ratings.
